As for the Judo tournament..nothing much to show as the competition itself was real crap. Kids these days are so lack of disipline and it so clearly reflects back on their Sensei. Clothes and all are not tugged in properly and the fighting style looks so much like a lousy street fight. So I’ll spare all you of from the eye soring pics.

Busy outing day (Part 1)

June 29, 2008

Lots of events today, Tamron had something going on, Low Yat Forumers had 2 outings. One at Bukit Jalil and the other is at the butterfly part. I initially only plan to go to Bukit Jalil to have a look and then proceed to the dog’s Olympics at 1Utama. But when I was there, it rained and so I was forced to stay for a while..and also ended up taking some shots. The initial plan was to go pick up my bean bag from Ian at Bukit Jalil then to 1U for the dog’s Olympics then to Cheras Leisure Mall for the Judo competition.

Anyways,…here some of the pictures I took. I didn’t really participate in the shooting as I was more fascinated with the hut/house we were taking shelter in..but none of the pics turn out the way I wanted it. Also most of the pictures were too exposed at some area. As I thought having flashes around me would help me in someways but also make my shots a lot harder to take as some shots would turn out too bright.

Xin Hui, one of the models who was there. Though I wasn’t really taking pictures of her when I was there, I was watching her on and off and couldn’t help but notice that she really know how to pose…or should I say..she really has a lot of posses in stock.

I love her eyes, she has very er…expressive eyes, I’m not sure if its just me or its just me..but I really love the emotion she shows in her eyes. Sadly this is the best shot I have of her..could have been a lil more hardworking and move closer to take a better picture.

Sudden portrait

June 25, 2008

Meet SC today, took some random portraits, played around with the aperture and shutter speed to get a picture that isn’t too exposed. It was abit hard to look and judge the picture exposure as it was bright there and most pictures look dark in the LCD. I had to refer to the histogram to guess if the picture was over exposed or not…I’m guessing this is the right way to go?

I think I like this picture best…as it portrays a sense of mystery, you don’t get to see the full face and even the side you only get to see a bit.

Light Painting

June 23, 2008

Was about bored tonight and saw the free laser pointer on my table which I got a few days back ago. Then I thought of light drawing/painting…haven’t done this before but I’m guessing all I need is to lower my shutter speed. So I turn on to shutter priority mode and walla..here is the outcome. Would try to get some words out the next time.

KLCC shots

June 18, 2008

Went to KLCC the other day, took some random shots during sunset. I find taking pictures in the evening/night a bit of a challenge as I’m not too sure what defines a good picture. Besides making the object look sharp and focused, how should be background be?should it be bright?or should it be a lil dark? I was told it really depends on how I want to interperate the picture or express myself. So…here’s my interpretation….

In Memory of lil birdie

June 15, 2008

I think bout last week, my mother found a lil bird on the ground and there no nest nearby. So we adopted the lil fellow and manage to kept it alive for a 3 days, Poor guy just gave up on his life. Heres some pictures of him that me and my sis took on her Olympus FE-320.

Click Click…first shot

June 14, 2008

It’s been an interesting night and months … yea MONTHS. Been reading a lot on photography and been going for talks, but when it comes to the real thing, oh man the ball game has totally changed. Nonetheless I’ve manage to find my way through with some help from Valiant.

For this upcoming 2 pics, I’m really not too sure which is better, I know some would tell me one is too dark and the other is bright enough, one has better depth then the other. Hmmm and according to Andrew Boey, it doesn’t matter as long as the picture is sharp.
