I failed to find time to have another shooting for Chinese New Year due to work but I manage to shoot something that is related to it. I would like to take this chance to wish those that lurk around my site and wish them a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year, May this year be a better year for all of us.

this shot was taken yesterday in 1 Utama when I was having my new year shopping.

On Monday 19 January 2009,  I have to say it was really not wise to leave the house at 7am to butterfly farm and bird park, not only because its a working day but also because it was not too long when school just started…got stuck in a massive traffic jam but at the end of the day… It was almost well worth it, as I’ve discovered some new things on my camera :)

I didn’t know Canon would make wild life look so good. I knew about their more “reddish” color, but I didn’t know it affected blue, green as well..well maybe not as red as er..red..but yea..I’m not too sure how to say it but it does show a different compared to the other camera’s that I’m looking at.

So here’s a preview of a caterpillar I shot in the bird park, taken by a macro lens. Sigma 150mm to be exact. I’ve also learned that macro is not at all easy..keeping my hands till on such a tiny lil thing is no easy task..especially when you’re been shooting for hours.

Here’s a couple of pics from the bird park…see what I mean about the colors? These pictures are not edited in any single way, only resized and watermarked.

I love this shot…more coming up when I’m done processing the fashion show shots 1st.

Had abit of time to do some editing at work…and was playing around with the curves and stuff…came up with this..may seem a lil over saturated..but I guess that’s my whole point here..its either you like it or not.

So I was at Midvalley today as there was another fashion show..this time for Chinese New Year…

To my dissapointment…somehow I’m not getting enough with my Sigma 24-70mm, or maybe it’s my shooting technique. I tend to feel my pictures are not sharp enough. Something is wrong somewhere and I’m yet to find out..overall I love the  second session which was the Chinatown Classic, maybe I’m a sucker for cheong sam and traditional clothes but yea..I really do like it, compared to the first session which was Salabianca & Philosophy - MEN, which wasn’t a men fashion show..hmm…I wonder whats the MEN there for?

Anyways for starters here 1 picture I just edited.which is basically a cut and paste from 1 picture to another..nothing fancy.
